Plants – Productivity Personified

Like every IT based company we’re surrounded by gadgets and computers. But being away from nature can make you start feeling more mechanical and robot-like. And it’s no surprise that robots are all alike! So here’s yet another practice of ours to maintain our productivity and uniqueness.

Ever heard of ‘Biophilia’? It’s a natural human need to be in touch with nature! Read on to see how our office plants add beauty and colour to even the greyest days to help us maneuver through them fruitfully.

Having plants around gives a ‘feel good factor’ as they make the surroundings pleasant and ambient. For instance, if anyone of us ever feels low we simply step out and spend some time with our green mates. There are a lot of ways they help us:

Visual benefit: The lush green colour has an instantly refreshing and uplifting effect.

Psychological benefit: Plants give a meditative effect and peace of mind. Everyone knows calmer minds help improve thought processing which results in better productivity.

Health benefit: Reduces anxiety and fatigue; stimulates happiness and better health.

Added benefit: When they sway as the winds blow we’re subtly amused by the dancing silhouette.

Recall benefit: If you’ve seen this post, you’ll be able to easily recall & spot our Office. So when’s your interview? 😉

Here’s a fact: According to Ellison Chair In International Floriculture, “Having flowers around the home and office greatly improves people’s moods and reduces the likelihood of stress-related depression.”
